About yeobo, darling

Yeobo, Darling, founded by chefs Meichih and Michael Kim (formerly of Michelin-starred Maum in Palo Alto), celebrates the fusion of Korean and Taiwanese heritages. Our name—Yeobo (여보), meaning "look here" in Korean—symbolizes attention and connection, reflecting our commitment to creating an intimate space rooted in cultural storytelling. We honor tradition through abundant banchan service and innovative interpretations of classic flavors. Our distinctive beverage program highlights tea-infused cocktails and premium sool (Korean alcohol) like soju and makgeolli, elevating traditional elements in a contemporary dining experience that bridges cultures while inviting guests into our shared heritage.

Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Advice: don't be mislead by influencers on tiktok or Instagram. It's best to go back to the days of Yelp where people weren't doing it just for likes . I was so disappointed with this page and I think even three stars is too generous. Here's what we got and my rating for each one 3/5- scallion bread - the bread was served warm and with a light butter with pork floss or as they like to cal it "rou song" (mandarin phonetic spelling) . This was very oily and the bread wasn't dense so you needed to hard the bread down as you cut it . Which I found messy. It was a little too greasy for me 3/5 - Kaluga hybrid cavier - this was a little bit sweet mixed with the saltiness of the cavier. This was good but it was also something that was easily forgetable. 2/5 lu rou lasagna - this was the biggest disappointment. It just tastes like a minced beef dish with a sweet Bolognese sauce. Nothing special. 3/5 wagyu kalbi - the flavors for this dish was good. However the quality wasn't was good as some of the pieces were just fat. Which left us with a lot that we weren't able to eat. 3/t -Karat cake - Overall, for the prices, quality and quantity of the dishes, you are better off so

Yeobo, darling has been getting recent well‑deserved attention, including a mention from the Michelin Guide for its creative Korean‑Taiwanese approach. After dining here, I can see the appeal, even if the experience didn’t fully come together for us. Service was a standout. Linda was fantastic — warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful in navigating a menu that offers almost no detail for each dish. Her guidance made a real difference. Food-wise, there were several memorable hits. The scallion croissant is a must‑order and truly unlike anything you’ve had. The chicken wings were perfectly crispy, and the gulf prawns were flavorful, though a bit too sweet for my taste. The wagyu beef tartare tartlet was a perfect one‑bite moment, and the chicken liver mousse was rich and decadent. The amberjack was delicate with great texture, and the pork collar was fantastic. The rice with crispy anchovies and ssam greens weren’t essential and could be skipped. Still, my husband and I left trying to figure out what felt missing. The dishes were strong, but the overall flow didn’t quite land. Even so, with its creativity, standout service, and Michelin attention, yeobo, darling earns a solid four

Had the Uni appetizer, wings, lasagna, Galbi, and carrot cake. I didn’t eat the Uni, but my date enjoyed it. The wings were good. We both liked. The lasagna was ok and not that large. The Wagyu Galbi was pretty good, but seemed bigger in other reviews. We both liked the carrot cake, tasty sweet and kinda healthy. Overall, pretty good meal, but not sure worth the price tag. My date and I decide the only dish we would want to try again was the wings. It feels like this restaurant may be a fad. That said the service was excellent, the best I had in the US. It was kinda loud and difficult to hear my date while sitting across. Anyways, I’d say good to try once.

I saw reviews about this place on tiktok/ig and decided to give it a shot. My bf booked us reservations for Valentine's Day and lo and behold of course it had to be an outrageously priced couples menu set. While the service was really solid, I don't remember enjoying any of the dishes from the set menu except maybe the carrot cake. In fact, we ended up returning two of the entrees, which was the emulsified congee (weirdly bubbly and extremely salty) and spinach Taiwanese beef pasta (undercooked, extremely Salty). I don't recall the last time I returned an item to the kitchen. The couple next to us also did the same thing. And don't get me started on the price point, it was ~$250pp before the 26% in mandatory service charges ($600ish total without drinks). Management was apologetic about the courses and offered drinks to accommodate us. The scallion croissant was really delicious and the highlight of the meal.

I’d been looking forward to trying Yeobo Darling since we loved Maum, and I was curious about their new concept. Overall, it feels a bit hyped up, but it’s still a nice spot for a date or special night out. Here’s what we ordered: • Scallion Croissant – Came with butter and pork floss. Very unique and tasty, though a bit on the oily side. • Lu Rou Lasagna – Interesting idea, but it really just tasted like regular lasagna. Didn’t quite capture the lu rou flavor. • Wagyu Kalbi – Delicious and full of flavor. Definitely one of the highlights. • Scallops with Cauliflower Sauce – Perfectly cooked and really good balance of flavors. • Chicken Wings – Crispy and solid, just what you’d expect for Korean chicken wings. • Crispy Anchovy Rice – Just okay, nothing special compared to the other dishes. Overall, some hits and some misses, but still an enjoyable experience and worth checking out at least once.
